I Blame Godspell

Another week goes by with no post, no video, no nothin'.

Well, things have been hectic. Godspell opens tomorrow night so I've been knee-deep in Tech Week (we can't call it "Hell Week" because we're a church, you see) and I've also been trying to buy a car.

So far has not been good. The dealership has been irritatingly slow getting back to me and I've been irritatingly busy with Godspell and cant' go down there and give them a piece of my mind like I'd like to.

Next week, however, when all this is over, they will receive the full force of my fury! Beware, Signature Automotive!

I Blame VBS

Lack of posts last week were due entirely to VBS. What's truly sad is that I can't post any of the 4 videos I made due to the fact they're chock full of kids whose parents will never give me permission. Oh well. The church might post them at a later date, in which case I'll link 'em.

Yesterday, I took him to the salon for a hair experiment. He's playing Jesus in Godspell and we wanted to see if we could "fro" out his hair.

As you can see, he was excited to be treated like a lady.

Godspell

I'm currently in a church production of Godspell. I kind of got roped into this project against my will but despite that, I'm having an amazing time. Even though there are aspects that hearken back to my high school days *shudder* I think the overall experience is going to be something I'll remember fondly. You never really get to know people until you have to spend days and hours on end with them, which is probably why theaters breed such good friends and such horrible rivals. As for me, I like the people for the most part and I'm definitely not afraid of a little competition.

Micky Mouse Pancakes = Escaping Adulthood

I don't have any new videos to post today, but I just thought I'd toss in this picture. Lately I feel like everyone around me has been feeling the real pressures of adulthood: getting married, finishing grad school, moving into first houses, looking for "real jobs".

When my roommate ordered this Micky Mouse pancake for breakfast the other morning, I rolled my eyes. In my defense, it was 7:00 AM and this breakfast place has coffee cups the size of thimbles. However, looking back at this picture a few days later, I realize how great it is to combat adult responsibilities in simple, non destructive ways. Cheers to you, M, for having the guts to order a Micky Mouse pancake with a bacon mouth AND the M&Ms instead of the raisins at the age of almost25. You're an inspiration!
